Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Chambury Learning receive Special Commendation

Updated: Jun 28, 2022

Chambury Learning is delighted to announce that their work with Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has received a Special Commendation in the healthcare category at the Totara Awards 2022.

The Totara Awards recognise the most innovative, impactful implementations across the entire global Totara network. This year’s awards saw an influx of entries related to the Totara Talent Experience Platform (TXP), which initially launched in October 2020, with customer stories showcasing the great work of customers and Totara Partners alike with new products Totara Engage and Totara Perform, alongside flagship product Totara Learn.

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust’s innovative project with Chambury Learning solves a common challenge across the NHS. Chambury Learning created an interface between the Electronic Staff Record (ESR) and the Totara Learn LMS, saving significant time and effort for busy NHS administration staff - around 500 days a year. Since its creation, this solution has been implemented in other NHS Trusts, and is ready to be rolled out across more Trusts in the near future.

"We are immensely proud of this integration project, it's been a long time coming and a long time in development. The rollout of this to our NHS customers is a testament to the commitment by Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and our talented developers; without both this wouldn't have become a reality.I look forward to deployment of the interface to all our existing and new NHS customers in the near future."

Richard Chambury, Managing Director, Chambury Learning.

“Chambury Learning’s ESR-LMS interface for NHS Trusts is a huge leap forward in streamlining how learner data is managed. This solution will be of interest to all NHS organisations looking for both a much improved learning experience for their staff and easy back office administration. Chambury Learning and Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust should be immensely proud of this project.”

Lars Hyland, Chief Learning Officer at Totara

Many of this year’s entries revealed how organisations in all sectors leveraged learning, employee engagement and performance management to tackle COVID-19, with lots of truly inspiring and creative approaches to a challenging couple of years. That’s why this year, Totara decided to offer regional awards in the healthcare category, recognising the high standard of the projects in this extremely competitive category, along with this Special Commendation.
